Growing Herbs

Growing Herbs in your garden is a great idea and is very practical to them that enjoy cooking, Herbs are the quintessential plant, smell nice, look nice and attract interesting birds to the garden. Herbs are very easy to grow and have a wide range of uses from Perfumes to Medicines and of cause Cooking but they are also great for indigestion, sleep and memory when made into tea which I will go more into in

First of all pick a location for your Herbs,

It is a myth that all herbs enjoy Full Sun as a lot of Herbs such as Parsley for example enjoy Partial Shade in Midday so a good idea is to set up Two locations,
Full Sun and Partial Sun.
Herbs such as French Tarragon , Sage, Rosemary, Thyme and Oregano like the Full Sun unlike Those that enjoy Shade, Mustard, Rocket, Mizuna, Sorrel and Chervil to name but a few.
Another thing to remember is that common UK garden Clay-like soil is not very good for growing anything part from Potatoes so always use well drained fertile soil.
Herbs can be grown successfully in containers provided they have adequate drainage.
